Pinder Receives BFSB Recognition Award

Graham Thompson attorney and partner Ryan Pinder was recognised by the Bahamas Financial Services Board (BFSB) for his work on the BFSB’s CRS legal committee.

The 2017 Appreciation Award was presented to Mr Pinder at BFSB’s FSI Excellence Awards Gala Dinner this past Friday. The Board expressed its appreciation to Mr. Pinder for his active engagement and his support of industry initiatives. Pinder, the former Minister of Financial Services & Trade, is a leading tax attorney, recognised for his work in corporate and financial services, private wealth and trusts.

Pinder joined Graham Thompson in 2016 and was recently recognised by world leading legal ranking services agency Chambers and Partners for excellence and leadership in the “High Net Worth Trusts Sector”.

Pinder serves on the CRS legal committee with attorneys Michael Paton and Brian Moree QC, who were also recognised at the Awards Gala.

The work of the committee forms part of a joint public-private sector effort to implement Common Reporting Standards (CRS) for the automatic exchange of financial account information in tax matters. Like other jurisdictions around the world, The Bahamas is committed to a 2018 CRS implementation goal.
